Daniel Bess (Julius)
Daniel most recently appeared on the ABC series The Last Resort, portraying Lt. Chris Cahill.
He was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. In high school he worked with famous playwright Mark Medoff in his production of Stephanie Hero, as well as working with the Hawaii Theatre for Youth. At age seventeen, he moved to New York and trained in the conservatory at Purchase College.
Upon finishing his training he began working on the New York Stage. His professional debut was in a production directed by Michael Mayer at the Vineyard theatre. He also worked with Michael Grief at NYS&F and other productions before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a film career.
Daniel’s television premiere was in Fox’s award-winning drama 24 as the character Rick. He has also guest starred in other television shows such as Firefly, JAG, ER, Veronica Mars, Medium, Grey’s Anatomy, CSI, What About Brian, Numb3rs and Femme Fatales.
He produced and starred in the production Waterfall that was shot in the mountains and beaches of Oahu His official film debut was Constellation, released in 2005. He was also in the film Munich as an American athlete.
When he isn’t acting, he is also a country/blues/Hawaiian/rock singer songwriter.
