Lisa Nichols

Lisa Nichols, a Los Angeles based, writer/producer, began her career in theater shortly after leaving UCLA, working on productions such as Chaplin, Women Behind Bars, and The Downside Risk. Later, she wrote and produced her own play, Sixty Minutes From L.A., as well as a pilot, Wild Horses.
Nichols moved on to produce digital video and animation, while continuing to write. She provided dialogue rewrites for the feature film Checkmate, and both her feature film Eau de L.A. and her teleplay for The Sopranos were Second Round Picks at the Austin Film Festival Screenwriters Conference.
She was awarded first place at the Hi-Desert Poetry Competition for Boom Town, about her native Southern California. Her latest play, Birds Do It, premiered in 2010 and will is now in pre-production as a film. She has also written a feature, Home.
